Lauren is a dedicated speech-language pathologist with eight years of experience. Lauren earned her bachelor’s from the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio and her master’s from Penn State University in State College, PA where she specialized in augmentative alternative communication (AAC) studying under Janice Light.


Lauren is a certified member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and holds a license in the state of Washington.


Lauren’s passion for speech therapy began when her cousin was given a speech generating device. This started her on a path of volunteering in developmental preschools, working in adult group homes as a direct care specialist, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities since high school.


Lauren has experience working with pediatrics in home health, specialized preschools, and schools. In undergrad, Lauren studied and tutored American Sign Language (ASL). She continues to utilize this skill in therapy. She most recently worked in a residential facility for adults with developmental disabilities.


Lauren is passionate about giving all children a voice to be understood and heard. Outside of work, Lauren enjoys exploring the PNW with her husband and daughter, reading, and rowing crew.
